Dental Hygiene

Healthy teeth start with good dental hygiene. Unfortunately, even the most consistent home care cannot ensure the complete removal of tartar and its effectiveness cannot be equal to that of professional dental hygiene.

Dental hygiene is essential:

  • for pregnant women;
  • before a planned dental procedure;
  • for patients with fixed braces, crowns, dentures;
  • before surgery;
  • for all who have different bite pathologies.

Dental hygiene cannot be performed in the following cases:

  • the patient has symptoms of respiratory disease;
  • enamel erosion;
  • increased tooth sensitivity;
  • acute inflammation in the oral cavity;
  • wedge-shaped teeth defects;
  • pacemaker, arrhythmia

How dental hygiene works

Don’t be afraid of dental hygiene! Even if you have really sensitive teeth, you will not feel any discomfort during this treatment thanks to the high expertise of our doctors.

  1. Initially, the doctor will assess the overall hygiene of the oral cavity and prepare the patient for the treatment.
  2. The Air-Flow method is a powerful stream of water with microparticles that effectively removes teeth stains.
  3. Ultrasound treatment follows. A special device that safely removes tartar using ultrasonic waves is used.
  4. Everything ends with teeth polishing using a special paste with fluoride, which strengthens tooth enamel.

It is not recommended to drink red wine, coffee, black tea and other products that can stain teeth approximately two hours after the treatment. Also, limit the consumption of products that may cause tooth sensitivity during this time.

Professional dental hygiene is performed only by a dentist! It results in the removal of teeth stains, removal of tartar and the return of the natural colour of the teeth. A pleasant feeling after the dental hygiene treatment is a matter of course. Enjoy the feeling of perfectly smooth teeth and really fresh breath.

It is recommended to have dental hygiene performed at least twice a year. In special cases, it is advisable to have dental hygiene performed more often.
